DAY 1 - FRIDAY - OSIJEK
Arrival in Osijek in the early afternoon. Accommodation in Hotel Osijek**** (use of wellness center included). Free time for personal programs or the possibility of visiting the city accompanied by a local guide (with extra charge) or independently: CO-CATHEDRAL – ANTE STARČEVIĆ SQUARE – KAPUCIN CHURCH – EUROPEAN AVENUE – KING TOMISLAV’S GARDEN – TVRĐA FORTRESS (CITADEL) – CHURCH OF SAINT MICHAEL – HOLY TRINITY SQUARE – BASTION – WATER GATE. After the tour, we recommend visiting the Museum of Slavonia and/or a wine tasting in Vinita or the cafe "Grejp" on Korzo (Kapucinska Street) where you can taste the best drops of the Slavonian and Baranja vineyards. Dinner at the popular Merlon pub, and after that, we recommend going for a glass of local craft beer at Von Beckers or the Osijek pub in Tvrđa, or if you're in the mood for an evening walk around the city – “Runda” in European Avenue and “Beertija”, which is located behind the Osijek co-cathedral. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.
DAY 2 - SATURDAY - OSIJEK - BARANJA
Breakfast. Departure to the Kopački rit Nature Park, a unique world of flora and fauna, which you will experience with a boat ride on the floodplain of the Danube, accompanied and presented by an expert guide, and a visit to the flora and fauna exhibition in the reception center of the Park. This is followed by a visit to the presentation-educational center Tikveš, located in the Tikveš castle complex, which includes the Old and New Castles with the Annex and the chapel. The center presents the rich cultural and historical heritage and biological diversity of Kopački Rit in a unique and modern multimedia way. After the visit to the park, you will have lunch at the “Baranjska kuća” restaurant, and after that, we recommend a tour of the Street of Forgotten Time, also in Karanac. After lunch, there will be a tour of the Belje wine road and the wine cellars. Considering that we are going in the direction of Zmajevac, we also recommend a visit to the monument of the Battle of Bata, and we will end the day with dinner at the Lug restaurant - a local Baranja restaurant where you will enjoy traditional dishes and the welcome of the host. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.
DAY 3 - SUNDAY - OSIJEK
Breakfast. Breakfast is followed by check-out from the hotel and free time for personal programs. We recommend a walk along Osijek's promenade and a visit to "Vodenica na Dravi", where you can get to know the traditional production of flour at firsthand. In the immediate vicinity of Vodenica, you can find the famous Osijek Kompa, which will take you to the left bank of the Drava, where the Osijek Zoo, the largest zoo in Croatia awaits. Return to the city center. We recommend that you relax with a glass of local craft beer in one of the cafes - Von Beckers or “Osječka pivnica” inside Tvrđa, “Runda” in European Avenue, and "Beertija" in the very center of the city. Going back home.
