What happens between check-in and boarding an aircraft? Why are security procedures important, and how many different services are involved in operating a single flight?

Students will discover the answers during educational tours of Osijek Airport. One of the programme’s main aims is to introduce children to air travel from an early age and show them the opportunities offered by an airport close to home. We want them to see the airport as an accessible and easy-to-understand place that connects them with the rest of Croatia and the world, while helping air travel become an even more familiar part of everyday life in eastern Croatia.

During the tour, children will follow the passenger journey, learn about the jobs performed at the airport, and understand the importance of safety, responsibility and teamwork.

On 27 August, the programme was presented at the County Professional Council of Primary School Principals by Petra Tivanovac, head of the 45. paralela travel agency.

Tours of the renovated passenger terminal will last approximately one hour, with the first groups scheduled from January 2027. Dates will be arranged according to the flight schedule and the airport’s operational availability.
