On 14 November 2025, Osijek Airport hosted the 6th session of the Air Transport Association of the Croatian Chamber of Economy, held in Osijek. The session brought together representatives of Croatian airports and airlines, Croatia Control, the Croatian Civil Aviation Agency and the Ministry of Sea, Transport and Infrastructure.

The opening part of the session provided an overview of the current situation in the air transport sector, outlining key challenges and opportunities in the areas of airlines, airports and air traffic management. Special attention was given to the development of qualified personnel, improvements in training systems and the long-term strategy for the growth of air transport, with a particular focus on the position of smaller airports and the need for even stronger cooperation between industry, education and public administration.

Hosting the session in Osijek further highlighted the important role of Eastern Croatia and Osijek Airport in connecting the region and promoting its economic and tourism potential.
