Steel structures and new façade panels installed – the modern look of the future terminal is taking shape

Major Progress Visible in the Reconstruction of the Passenger Terminal

The reconstruction of the Osijek Airport passenger terminal is progressing steadily, with visible changes now noticeable on almost every side of the building.

By the beginning of October, the foundations on the southern, eastern, and western sides of the terminal were completed. New steel structures for the modern façade have been installed, and on the western side the first aluminium panels are already in place. At the same time, the old façade on the northern and southeastern sides has been removed.

Other works include the installation of a stormwater drainage system, as well as interior demolition and adaptations – part of the former café and several rooms on the northwest side have been removed. The old layers of the concrete canopies have also been stripped away, and the installation of a new waterproofing system is underway.

These activities are gradually shaping the new contours of the terminal, which will soon provide passengers with more modern, safer, and more comfortable travel conditions.

Below, we share some new photos from the construction site that show just how far the project has already come.
